I've recreated the gcc-12 branch for gm2 and this is now available via:

   git clone git://gcc.gnu.org/git/gcc.git m2gcc12
   cd m2gcc12
   git config --add remote.origin.fetch 
"+refs/users/gaius/*:refs/remotes/origin/users/gaius/*"
   git fetch
   git checkout remotes/origin/users/gaius/heads/m2gcc12
   git log
