[Gm2] Shared objects

Are the objects in the SO sub-directory
simply objects build with -fPIC?
And does gm2 simply uses ld or is there something special about the
linking process?

My SCons support project stands still, because nobody is answering my
questions on the mailing lists. Without help this is going to be
difficult. If they don't answer me it will take much longer to implement
it as I thought.
