Dear John

I'm not quite sure how I got onto this mailing list. I'm keen to use Modula-2 with Linux. We've had a lot of success in Open-GL applications using Gardens Point Modula-2 (GPM) but they are no longer supporting the compiled Linux version. Hence my interest in the GNU version,
but I gave up trying to install it and reverted back to GPM.

Unfortunately, I don't have time to help with the development and I guess we will move to Linux C++ unless GNU Modula-2 has complete libraries, simple implementation and is robust.

Sorry I can't help.

Best regards

Dave

Greetings:

I tried building gm2 on gcc-4.0.1 (on SuSE Linux 8.3) and was rewarded with the following.

./xgm2 -Wnil -Wcase -Wbounds -Wreturn -g -funbounded-by-reference -Wverbose-unbounded -Wpim -Wpedantic-param-names -Wextended-opaque -Wpedantic-cast -c -B./stage1/gm2 -I../../gcc-4.1.0/gcc/gm2/ulm-lib-gm2/std:../../gcc-4.1.0/gcc/gm2/ulm-lib-gm2/sys:../../gcc-4.1.0/gcc/gm2/gm2-libs ../../gcc-4.1.0/gcc/gm2/ulm-lib-gm2/std/RealConv.mod -o gm2/ulm-lib-gm2/std/RealConv.o

The Ulm libraries also cause me grief trying to build on HP-UX. Is there a way to disable building them?

john
