[Gm2] Non-executable files tagged with executable permssion (2006-09-20 version)

Greetings:

Many of the files checked out of the 2006-09-20 version bear 
"executable" permissions.  Witness the following regular files in the 
gm2 directory marked executable.  (This is clean checkout using
"cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/sources/gm2 co gm2 estsuite".)
