Hi Michael,
true, thanks for reporting this. A bug which has now been fixed and
uploaded to the CVS.

ranlib /var/tmp//ccV2Q5Tb.a
Thomas please can you remove the previous source and checkout a new
gm2 tree and see if this works under your version of MacOS ?
