I updated my CentOS 7.something virtual machine which had built g-c 1.8.1 fine
some time ago to CentOS 7.6 - all packages up to date. ./configure showed
everything OK as far as I could see. I then tried make. Rather quickly it
died with the following output:

For what it might be worth, my compiler is: gcc-4.8.5-36.el7_6.1.x86_64
(current available on CentOS 7.6)
