The damb^H^H^H^H linear nature of ChangeLog clashes with git: you
cannot easily merge from branches without a merge conflict in the
damn^H^H^H^H sequential ChangeLog. There must be a compromise: GCC is
extremely disciplined without ChangeLog. We can do it too.
