[ft-devel] new API documentation in tarball

after doing

  make refdoc

I wonder which files/directories of the API documentation should go
into the distribution tarball.  As far as I can see, the stuff in the
directory `docs/reference/markdown' is the result of an intermediate
step and can thus be completely omitted, right?  The same appears to
be true for file `mkdocs.yml'.
