Werner,
I'll prepare a patch if I have time, and indeed install GNU diff if I can
find it and understand yet another utility... but it's a miracle I have time
to post anything back to the FreeType list actually. Personally I find
narrative interspersed with snippets easier to follow than diff runes, but
my mileage not only varies but is obviously widely divergent and possibly
even perpendicular to other peoples'.
But I remain, as for a decade now, in your debt as a grateful FreeType user.
Best regards,
Graham

Please prepare a patch -- there are other #ifdefs there which could be
used to limit the scope.
Werner
PS: BTW, what about installing GNU diff on your platform? This would
*greatly* simplify your reports.
