My ftview is broken, so I could not check it on Fedora Core 6. I thnk
now there is little doubt that Cyrillic is sometimes mistreated by,
specifically, freetype ;)

Here is attached ftview screenshot with DejaVu Serif loaded and forced
autohinter/fitter. As you can see Cyrillic is badly rendered. I found Latin
module src/autofit/aflatin.c in autohinter and suspect that Latin alphabet is
rendered in special way when bytecode interpreter is not used. Cyrillic could
also be rendered by this module since Latin and Cyrillic do not differ much.
