Before I start debugging: Which dpi are you using?  The images aren't
at 72dpi...

For us it's easiest if you use ftview from the ft2demos package.
Please use the current CVS -- recently we've found a serious bug in
the TrueType interpreter which has been introduced in 2.1.8.
