Yes:
. Test whether the current font is in SFNT format.
. Parse the header to get the GSUB table offset.
. Parse the GSUB table for the `vert' feature (and similar ones),
ignoring everything else.
. Extract the mapping table(s) from the lookups which correspond to
`vert' and friends.
