Yes, I meant TT_Load_GSUB_Table; I don't think this FT_Face structure is
available/ accessible in this function.

There is no function called `load_GSUB'.  Do you mean
`TT_Load_GSUB_Table;?

After loading a font in FreeType 2, the number of glyphs is available
in the FT_Face structure, element `num_glyphs'.
