[Devel] Strange TTF

I got an old CJK TTF (made from Arphic) for inspection which starts
with the byte sequence `0x00 0x02 0x00 0x00' instead of the normal
`0x00 0x01 0x00 0x00' -- otherwise it seems to be a standard TTF.
Current Windows versions don't accept it, but apparently older ones
(Win 3.1?  Win 95?  East Asian versions?) did, I was told.

Anyone on this list who can give more information?
