I have bought a large external disk to be connected using USB 1 (which
has a transfer speed of about 1MByte per second) to my not-too-recent
laptop. My idea of backing up the laptop's harddisk is to copy
everything to the external disk the first time, creating MD5 checksum
files additionally. The next time I do an incremental backup, the
backup program just compares the MD5 checksums and overwrites old
files on the external disk if the checksums differ.
Any ideas which program to use? Theoretically I could write a script
by my own, but this needs time which I don't have...
