Hi, David:

Can you take the following suggestions into your consideration?

1. About embedded CID font in PDF
In PDF, some embedded CID fonts have no CMap(CIDFontType2, descripted as
a TrueType font). It is the DescendantFonts of Type0 and the Type0 font
defines the CMap. When I use FT_New_Memory_Face() to initial the font,
FreeType will return an error because there is no CMap. Therefore, I
hope FreeType to repair this problem and provide a more flexible
interface to get the glyph.

2. About text rendering mode in PDF
In PDF, text can be rendered as several modes, like fill text, stroke
text, fill and stroke text, fill text and add it to the clipping path,
stroke text and add it to the clipping path, etc. I hope that FreeType
can support these rendering mode.
