[Devel] FTMac supported? |

Is the ftmac source actively maintained by anyone? Is it used?
In reviewing it, it appears that it is not Carbon-safe and therefore
not usable from a Carbon application for Mac OS X.
Since you can build the Unix/mach-o version, that may not be such a
problem except that you'd lose support for native fonts.
In reviewing it, it wouldn't be too hard to update it to use the
newer Font Manager API's instead of what's there now. Doing so would
also provide support for access to the newer font formats supported
in Mac OS X (OTF, .dfont, etc.).
Should I bother??!?!
