Hi all, in particular those who have CVS commit access:
I see a LOT of cvs commit messages that look like this:
revision 1.34
date: 2001/08/30 07:59:28; author: XXXXX; state: Exp; lines: +9 -2
YYYY bufixes:
- reallocation bug in T1_Table_Add
- increased accuracy of units per EM computation in T1 fonts
- support "+" as valid font name character (used in embedded fonts)
----------------------------
That message was for psobjs.c. The problem is that which one of those messages
actually pertains to psobjs.c? Which functions? Etc, etc...
I think that perhaps we ough to start setting up some kind of commit message
guidelines. much like the AFPL Ghostscript folks have. The reason why I am
after this is that it becomes difficult to tell which files are actually
modified with each commit, especially when the same commit message is used for
many different files.
NOTE: I am sometimes guilty of this myself, so I am chastising myself, too. ;)
