First:  make sure you load the right charmap.
Second: make sure you give the right character code to TT_Char_Index.
  (I am sure your ASCII2UNICODE func is broken. A function mapping
  *ASCII* to Unicode is the identity.)
Third:  compare C and Pascal code of the library.
Fourth: if it still does not work, send a *minimal* example demonstrating
  the problem.
