The testsuite does not at all depend on the features that are activated.
The problems Torsten reported were connected to some problems with the
build system that are now fixed.

I can only stress this. Please use "make check" to run the testsuite.
Even better, use "make distcheck" from time to time, which also tests
packaging, compiling, running, installing and uninstalling ESPResSo.
