Ok, that looks good. But then we still need an explanation of what
actually went wrong for Jason. If you could apply the patch I
suggested earlier, then the check-in should not fail silently the next
time it happens, and then we might get to know more.
Meanwhile, I think I'll install that patch anyway; it definitely looks
like the right thing to do.
