I will - will use an usb hard disk to get a "real" backup in case my 
hard disk will crash again ;)
But it will take some days....

Is the signatures file a temporary file? I had a look at the last backup 
of the Downloads folder and there are just files named 
duplicity-full.<date>T<time>Z.vol<volume number>.difftar.gpg with 
maximum size 50,1 MB.
