i just wanted to explain, that is not in spite - to build icecat from VCS takes
twice as long as it should need to - it forces everyone to run the makeicecat
script first - that implies each user downloading the mozilla source code and
language packs via 'hg', which is super slow, and patching it in place - AFAIK,
GNU projects are not supposed to make others do the cleaning - the makeicecat
script is supposed to be for the gnuzilla devs internally, to produce a
source-ball for downstreams to use - whoever pushes a new version tag to the
VCS has presumably just run makeicecat to verify the changes, and so necessarily
has the source-ball prepared in the local checkout tree - it would take only
one more command to push that source-ball to GNU FTP; but for some reason they
dont do it

so to package it properly, i need to run makeicecat, which takes about an hour
to build, then sign the source-ball output, and publish that to our sources/
repo, before i can begin adapting the PKGBUILD in the usual way - it would be
easier to maintain a new iceweasel-esr myself
