You're welcome. I am considering going without my CalyxOS device again,
and only using it as a camera, stowing it away deep inside a bag.

Sure, but this does not exist and requires lots of money/labor to
produce. The old notepad method already exists and has no way of going
away anytime soon due to maintenance, budget and labor shortages.
