Yes, it appears Android is going the FreeBSD x86 route. I.e., in theory it will have 32-bit time_t until 2038 and then will abruptly stop working. In practice Google etc. are trying to get people to stop using 32-bit Android and so far have not fully succeeded. Google blocked installation of 32-bit apps on Pixel 7 phones last year (though a few customers have reportedly worked around this), and some of this year's new chips won't support 32-bit execution at all.
