Details:

MiniChess 2007 is a Speed Chess variant I use to teach classes in chess
program construction. It is also quite a bit of fun to play. The rules can
be found at http://wiki.cs.pdx.edu/cs542-spring2007/mini-chess/rules.html .

Attached is a patch to get XBoard to support MiniChess 2007. The patch was
built against the Debian sources, but it should apply fine to stock XBoard
4.2.7

MiniChess plays on a 5x6 board, so with this patch applied other variants
like Speed Chess that use non-square boards < 8x8 should be very easy to add.
