Follow-up Comment #1, bug #54575 (project grub):
Ran into the same problem (BTRFS RAID1 on LUKS), solved it by hacking around
(see patchfile __fixugly_btrfs_raid_rootfs.patch). Not using any kind of patch
leads to an totally unusable/b0rked grub.cfg.
