Let me try to restate this in English.

If the Foundry file causes gropdf to resolve requests for faces from the
default foundry to the URW fonts (and the generated Foundry file sure looks
this way), why didn't this* work?


* this = "the rendering of all the text typefaces in grops(1) to be done using
themselves, as normally happens in a fully-dependency-satisfied build"
