The foregoing addition is fantastic and I have no quarrel with it.

The ambiguous .po sentence reported in comment #0 remains in place
(substantively unchanged from its commit af2d6f8e
<http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/commit/?id=af2d6f8e> debut in
1999), so this bug could be reopened on those grounds.

On the other hand, this passage of the manual has yet to be Brandenified, and
the ambiguity here is no worse than the hundreds of others you've caught and
corrected as you work your way through the Texinfo manual, so perhaps it's
best to trust that the ambiguous sentence will meet its inevitable fate when
its time naturally comes, without needing any prodding from savannah.
