Dear reader:
The following -apparent- bug report is being sent both to you and Mr.
Kollar (who wrote the man page for groff-ms). Hopefully you have a
workaround, or fix, for this problem.

Subject: HM with ms ?
Dear Mr, Kollar:
In formatting a manuscript with -ms and groff, I find that setting the
head-margin HM seems to work only in integer inch units. Setting:
.nr HM 1.5i
gives only a 1 inch head margin, while
.nr HM 2.0i (or .nr HM 2i)
provides a 2 inch margin. Ditto for larger values, where only the
integer value is used. For completeness' sake, I am using the groff
suite for a laptop Apple PowerBook -OSX- obtained with Fink. Also,
typically, I employ the ATT DWB suite -which I have used for many
years- with a SUN Solaris workstation, but I use the portable when I am
in the field.
Although I though the usual workaround for such things, using
centimeters, i.e.,
.nr HM 4c
would have worked, but didn't. I got the 1 inch head-margin instead.
Do you have a suggestion or fix for this small problem ? Thanks.
Best regards,
G. Hernandez
