Aha! I couldn't remember the precise syntax (and all my command files are on an
old, dead PC). The help reads:
" set turn - Set which player is on roll
Usage: set turn <player>"
I unsuccessfully tried "set turn player 1" and "set turn player1". My bottom
player is named "Blue", so "set turn Blue" does work.

I'd started a game manually from the gui, so this was not necessary.
