[Bug-gnubg] Saving/viewing individual positions

Hi - I've only had GnuBG for a couple months, but have become an enthusiastic user and want to help in its development and support.  I see there are a wide range of things I can do to help the GNU Project, but my first contribution is a selfish one - I've just submitted the enhancement request "A comprehensive approach to saved positions".  If any of you have wished that saved positions were managed a little better, take a look at it and post your thoughts.  The request is designed to deliver the greatest benefits at the least cost to the developer.

From the lack of input about saved positions, it seems that few people bother with them, preferring instead to save whole games and matches.  But this seems strange since I don't see an easy way to locate the key positions in full games.  I suppose Cmarking might be helpful with this, but it's not really designed for that.  So saving positions rather than games seems best.  Am I overlooking something?

For those of you who ran into a few glitches with saving/viewing positions, see the workarounds in bug issues 32270 and 32272, as well as the remarks at the bottom of my enhancement request (32570).  Saving positions sometimes requires a little more work than saving games, but the ease of later review (if my suggestions gets implemented) should easily make it worthwhile.
