Re: [Bug-gnubg] list of issues

I have a laptop that used to have the problem before an upgrade of the driver. I remember tracking the issue down to the following:

When you click on the 3d board a skeleton redraw is done to track down what was clicked. This redraw takes so long that the program interprets the action as a drag-release. Now comes the part where my I'm a bit uncertain. What takes a long time is the drawing of the checkers, and if I remember correctly I fixed the problem locally by not drawing the checkers, but just using the points as targets. The code guesses the nearest target, and it worked even if you clicked on a checker.

I'm moving back to Denmark in two weeks time, and my response time may be high until the first of June.

Christian.

As Christian said this is probably a problem with the graphics driver, but
you're not alone with this issue so lets see if we can work out what's going wrong.

Download and run this file:

http://www.jonkinsey.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/board3d.exe

you'll need to put it in your gnubg directory and you will probably need to put
this file in there as well:

http://www.jonkinsey.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/glut32.dll

You should see a backgammon board, try clicking on the dice/cube/in between the
points. Also press 'p' and try this from this view, it should look like this:
