Gnubg expects to find the gnubg.wd file in a path relative to the
install prefix. Therefore the best you can do is to give a --prefix
flag to configure:
./configure --prefix=path_to_test_install_dir
make
make install
possibly you can run out of the build directory:
./configure --prefix=path_to_build_dir
make
