Hi Frank and others,

I'm purchasing a new smartphone at the moment and definitely want to have bgmobile on it too..
I was wondering how the playing strength of bgmobile compares to the desktop version? I mean, does it use the same engine or did you have to make some concessions to optimize cpu or memory?

Cheers,
Misja

(hi Frank !).

Hi MaX, all the best to Italy :)

No, but it's very strong, not very expensive and made by a single person
The latter isn't true. It was made by Markus Herven and me. BTW Markus was the author of bgmobile too. At some time we decided to cooperate. He wanted to close bgbmobile than but it's difficult to close an OS project. You see it at bgmobile2.

open source mobile backgammon application. It's cool and even running
on any Java (JE2ME) enabled device (eg S40).
Do you know any other?
To my knowledge there is nothing comparable available out there.  All other I tried / had heard of had a great splash screen, some had really nice graphics, some where close to unusable and the playing strength was abysmal for all....

There's a free (limited) version I think.
Different to the desktop version, the bgblitz2go is only a demo until licensed.

There's bgblitz2go. I don't know if it will run on your phone, though.

I havn't tried it on a Nokia smartphone (assuming Symbian), only on a Sony Ericcson with Symbian. It should work although Symbian seemed a little slow, but usable.

ciao
Frank
