OK, I'm using gnubg-source-SNAPSHOT-20071222.  But the same thing
happened with gnubg-source-SNAPSHOT-20071215 (I think that was the one
-- I've only successfully compiled two of these snapshots so I don't
know if this happens with other versions).
1) I start a game play out two rolls (in this case 51S and 42P) though
it doesn't matter how many rolls or the nature of the position.  I
copy this position mGfwATDg8+ABKA
2) I also edit the match score to be 4-3 to 5 points.  I copy this
position UQmqAEAAGAAA.
3) Start a new match.
4) Hit the Edit button.  Erase the current Position ID and paste the
one in from above.
5) It used to be (.15) that when I hit Enter the position on the board
would change to the one I pasted in.  Now it just stays the same and
the position ID reverts to whatever it was before (in this case the
starting position but it doesn't matter when in a match I do this it
will revert to whatever the position was before I attempted to paste
the new position in)
6) If I paste in the match ID from above and hit Enter the match
information changes as it should.

I've experimented with numerous position IDs so I don't think the
specific ID has anything to do with it.  Also, note that I've used a
position ID generated from gnubg in this instance though positions
taken from elsewhere exhibit the same behavior.
