I've tried it with cygwin here and it mainly worked except:

1. cairo dependency needed
        - I manually added include and lib file to makefile...
2. libpython2.4.a wrong name - should be libpython2.4.dll.a
        - manually changed makefile
3. undefined reference to `_GDK_DISPLAY' in gtkgame.c:2521
        - changed #ifdef ConnectionNumber to HAVE_GDK_GDKX_H instead.

Also cygwin doesn't appear to have a 'column' command, so credits.sh fails.

I had a couple of problems with the windows build - I'll check those out
soon.
