        I've got a question about the Evaluation settings, I was
wondering which settings will give me the best "hint",
        What i mean is: If for example i chose Grand Master on the
"Chequer play predefined settings"
        will it give me better moves then the "Expert" one, since when i
chose Grand Master and then ask for a Hint it takes it a while to think
(between 2 sec to 13) and on Expert it gives me the hint right away,
which is much more fun ofcourse.
         

Expert is the basic setting. It looks at all the possibilities for the
upcoming move and picks the best one.
World Class and Supremo look at the results of your opponents best roll
and your possible replies to it. 
Grandmaster also looks at the opponents next roll after that.

Looking ahead obviously takes an increasing amount of time as gnubg
considers all the possible rolls and moves.

In my opinion, Expert is good enough for a decent game. If I really want
to study a position or play the best opponent I can, I use World Class.

I usually do analysis at World Class.

I never play against higher settings; I don't think the time gains are
worth the wait. I do sometimes look at individual positions on higher
settings if I'm very curious. Any settings below Expert introduce
deliberately weak plays, so I never use them.
