Re: Bug in GNU Chess

Hi,

A recent possible bug in GNU Chess has led me to raise a question on the problem you found.

When you use GNU Chess from Knights, do you run it in UCI mode or default mode?

For UCI mode, you start the program as

gnuchess -u

or

gnuchess --uci

For default mode, you just type the program name with no argument.

On the other hand, if you are somehow manage to play the same game, will it hang on the same position?

GNU Chess hangs, with 1 or 2 CPU cores at 80-100% load, and does not return any move at all while GUI is waiting for it to respond.
