Update of bug #59449 (project gettext):
Status: Need Info => Invalid
Open/Closed: Open => Closed
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #4:
> I simply autoreconf'd gettext 0.21 with autoconf from git master.
This is not supported.
There are two ways to use the GNU gettext sources:
* As a tarball. Then you use the configure script that is included in the
tarball.
* From a git checkout. Then you use the instructions from the HACKING file (in
some projects, the README-hacking file, or similar). In the case of gettext,
it says:
After fetching the sources from the Git repository, peek at the comments in
autogen.sh, then run
./gitsub.sh pull
./autogen.sh
Then you can proceed with "./configure" as usual.
