Thanks for explaining.  (Wouldn't the word "property" instead
of "label" have been better?)

Yes, these are much better, much easier to understand.  XML and
markup and text are all clear, but, knowing nothing about GTK, I
have no idea what is meant with "label" -- but maybe it is not
needed.  Or a comment might help.
