Too sad indeed.

No idea, as I never got /any/ feedback. Not even "No we'll never
integrate your feature". As long as I don't get a negative
response I'm still confident to get it upstream someday.
Probably I did something wrong (didn't follow a process, upset the
maintainer, forget something). How will I ever know?

I've got at least direct contact from two more interested and there
are about 10 followers on github. Not that much but at least we are
not the only one using it. (Beside my colleagues here at work).
