When I clone binutils-gdb.git to ./binutils and run build in the same
directory,
the build failed:


% git clone https://sourceware.org/git/binutils-gdb.git  binutils
% ./binutils/configure
% make
.....
make[2]: Entering directory '...../binutils'
Makefile:26: *** missing separator.  Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory '...../binutils'
make[1]: *** [Makefile:4045: all-binutils] Error 2
