Bino for me is just a spare time project, and I do it just for fun and
to learn something. Like everybody else, I have very limited spare
time, so I have to pick which features to work on.

That's why I cannot work on some features myself, but that does not
mean that I object to those features, just that somebody else needs to
write them and send patches.

And that's what is happening: Bino contains major contributions from
a number of people (see Help->About->Team), for example subtitle
support, SDI output, support for older graphics hardware, crosstalk
ghostbusting, translations into 6 languages, and so on... all of this
was contributed by others.

I have a different opinion of what counts as basic functionality, but
like I said, I would happily integrate patches that implement the
features you want. I just don't have the time to write them myself.
