Please don't use beamer.el files you find outside of AUCTeX.  Certain
functionalities in more recent beamer.el files rely on code in AUCTeX
proper.  (I don't know in which way this is bundled in TeXLive 2005.)
So my advice would be to upgrade your AUCTeX installation.  Then you
will get support for the frame environment as well.
