cashbox is these things: 1: a catalog viewer and shopping cart 2: a order presentation tool (part of the shopping cart management) 3: a customer database that includes amount of in-store credit any customer has 4: a way for customers to transfer their in-store credit to other customers Cashbox may eventually become: a way to do business-to-business barter through exchanging in-store credit It is expected that cashbox-compliant tools will appear that do things like: * implement bearer coupons that cannot be abused * implement "specials" and "sales" and "deals" etc. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the cashbox-discuss Archives.
Using cashbox-discuss
To post a message to all the list members, send email to cashbox-discuss@nongnu.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to cashbox-discuss
Subscribe to cashbox-discuss by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
