In the 7th-area QSO Party, the desired Cabrillo format is listed as this:
QSO: 3500 CW 2007-05-05 1315 N7LE 599 ORDES K7UGA/m
599 AZMCP
In my log I put the 599's in the two RST columns and the 7th-area
station's exchange in the QTH column ( a mistake, I guess), and I got
this from the Cabrillo export:
QSO: 7000 2010-05-02 0305 K3GHH 599 W7YS
599
It's easy enough to add "CW" after every "7000" and "MD" after every
"K3GHH 599", but it looks as if I'm going to have to manually insert
each station's state/county exchange (like the AZMCP in the example).
I tried opening Xlog and placing the 5-letter exchange in one of the RST
columns, and got this:
QSO: 7000 2010-05-02 0218 K3GHH 599 KN7T
WAS NO
This is an improvement, though it shouldn't have the space in the
exchange, but even this would require editing each QSO in Xlog.
How should I have entered this contest's exchange in Xlog? What about
more complicated exchanges, like the ARRL Sweepstakes? Is there a way to
use Cabrillo to minimize the required post-export editing?
PS: I have read the manual entry for "Cabrillo."
