Don't fill in any default values when you want to use hamlib.
The default values will always overwrite current values.

That works. I removed the defaults and now the buttons bring up both mode and frequency.

I have another anomaly, but it is not as serious. My DXCC totals appear to be correct, but the totals for a given country, as shown when I enter a call, are wrong (very low). Is there a recalculation that I failed to do?
