After having used xlog for a couple of months on my old computer,

backup file) with an empty log every time I start it.

There was a change of format for the preference file in 0.9.6, so you need to reconfigure xlog to pick up all your old settings and log files to load at start-up.

Not sure what to do here.
Maybe we should keep on reading the old preferences file, until people actually delete it?
