No, my application (wrote myself) doesn't do *any* explicit font
selection.  It just uses the
  standard "small medium large" abstraction offered by the toolkit.

Same application on F9 and F10 rendered *on the same computer*
correctly.   After upgrade to
  F11 it wouldn't render properly, and the same behaviour showed up in F12.
